The Celtic Parade marked the opening of this year’s Kraków Celtic Festival 2026. The event is a celebration of the music, dance, and culture of Ireland, Scotland, and other Celtic regions, and is organized by the Polish Celtic Association and Dworek Białoprądnicki. The Kraków Celtic Festival 2026 kicked off with great fanfare. The event began on September 4 at 4:00 p.m. at the Kraków Barbican, from where the ceremonial Celtic Parade set off. Accompanied by bagpipes, and adorned with flags, cockades, and other decorations, Celtic culture made its way into the Old Town, marking the beginning of an unforgettable festival weekend.
The route of the 2026 Celtic Parade was as follows: Barbican – Florian Gate – Floriańska Street – Main Market Square (one lap) – Adam Mickiewicz Monument
Immediately after the parade ended at the Main Market Square, participants headed to the Pod Jaszczurami Club, where the Kraków Celtic Festival’s opening night began at 5:00 p.m., featuring the first concerts, dances, and a jam session.
