Aeroclub Krakow invites you to the Aviation Open Day on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the Club, which will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2023 in Pobiednik Wielki. The program of the event includes many attractions for visitors starting at 11:00 am, including sightseeing flights, parachute jumping, static exhibition of aircraft and gliders, partner zones, competitions with prizes for the youngest and many other attractions
Event schedule
- 09:00 – 17:00 – sightseeing flights by glider behind a winch,
- 11:00 – 17:00 – static exhibition of airplanes and gliders, partner zones, competitions with prizes for the youngest,
- 13:00 – 13:30 – model flight demonstration by Robert Tomzik, winner of the 2nd place in the Karlskoga World Cup 2022 – International Competition of aerobatic tethered models included in the World Cup ranking in the F2B category,
- 18:00 – 19:00 – air show.
Show Program
- 18:00-18:10 – airdrop of parachute jumpers from the AN-2. After the landing of the jumpers, in-flight demonstration of the Vienna An-2 aircraft,
- 18:10-18:20 – flight demonstration of a pair of historical Piper Cub aircraft one SP-SMLP owned by the Polish Aviation Museum in Krakow, the other privately owned by Antoni Nowak from Żywiec,
- 18:20-18:30 – demonstration of individual aerobatics on a Boeing Stearman aircraft piloted by Marek Forystek,
- 18:30-18:40 – demonstration of individual aerobatics on an Extra 330 SP-YMS aircraft piloted by Mariusz Szarawara,
- 18:40-18:50 – demonstration of individual aerobatics on Extra 330 SP-GII aircraft piloted by Marek Choim,
- 18:50-19:00 – in-flight demonstration by the Flying Dragon Team paragliding group along the axis of the strip.
Depending on meteorological conditions and the direction of the wind, we are also planning a balloon launch from the Krakow Balloon Team from Pobiednik in the evening hours.
