After a seven-year hiatus, the legendary No Limit Kasprowy ski competition returned to the heart of the Tatra Mountains. The event organizers—No Limit and Polskie Koleje Linowe—went to great lengths to ensure participants enjoyed the best possible conditions and an exhilarating experience during the event. Alpine skiing enthusiasts gathered in Kotle Gąsienicowe on Kasprowy Wierch, at an altitude of 1,987 meters above sea level, on Saturday, March 21. No Limit Kasprowy coincided with the 90th anniversary of the PKL Group and the first cable car ride to Kasprowy Wierch

“The legend has returned to the very summit, as Kasprowy Wierch has been a venue for ski competitions for over a century and stands as one of the symbols of Polish skiing. “We are proud to continue this unique tradition today by organizing the No Limit Kasprowy competition,” summarizes co-organizer Marcin Blauth, adding, “We are delighted that its return coincides with the PKL Group’s anniversary—this is a special occasion for us to celebrate together and highlight the significance of this place for the history and development of skiing in Poland.” .
Participants started from the very summit of Kasprowy Wierch, and the finish line was located at an altitude of 1,680 meters above sea level. The 1,200-meter course, combining elements of giant slalom and super-G, guaranteed participants plenty of sporting excitement. Conditions were excellent—the hard, even course, prepared specifically for the competition, maintained its quality until the last competitor finished.
A new feature this year was the use of the modern RACE RESULT timing system, designed to support the organization of sporting events. Wrist-mounted chips were used, allowing split times and final times to be recorded instantly. This enabled efficient event management and the rapid publication of results.
Juliusz Kierkowski (PRO category) set the fastest time of the competition, completing the course in 1 minute, 12 seconds, and 88 hundredths. Among the women, Aniela Wójciak (W4 category) took first place, crossing the finish line in 1:15.44. In the overall classification with a conversion factor, Ludwik Majlert triumphed, achieving a converted time of 1:09.01 (actual time 1:22.12).
Competitors also competed in the team classification. The SNØWLAB team (comprising Aniela Strama-Cukier, Aniela Wójciak, Anna Skarbek Malczewska, and Juliusz Kierkowski) claimed victory in this category.
Snowboard enthusiasts and monoski competitors also took part in the event—Konstanty Jonak was the fastest snowboarder, clocking a time of 1:31.65, while Zygmunt Gackowiec triumphed in the monoski category with a time of 1:49.67. No Limit Kasprowy is one of the few amateur ski competitions in Poland that opens its starting lists to athletes with disabilities, giving them the opportunity to compete side by side with other participants on one of the most difficult trails in the Tatra Mountains.
The three fastest competitors won prestigious AMG Experience ON TRACK PERFORMANCE training sessions at the Silesia Ring. The winners of each category received valuable prizes, including season passes to PKL resorts. Every participant received commemorative gifts. After the competition, the racers could relax in the Racer’s Zone in Kuźnice and then share moments of joy during the awards ceremony.
The competition was supported by the following companies: Auto Idea Mercedes Benz, MAKDOM, and Krakowskie Centrum Ubezpieczeniowe. The City of Zakopane served as the honorary patron of the event.
